CHRONICLE ARTS

YOUR LIFE  YOUR STORY  YOUR FILM

Chronicle Arts produces personal biography films that preserve the legacies of individuals, families and organizations.

Our process begins with listening.  Director Chris DeFord and Producer Lisa DeLeo learn what you hope to achieve with your film. We listen to the stories that you'd like to tell. We ask questions to find out what's important to you and who you are.  We guide and support you every step of the way.

Together we determine the length of film you'd like to create and what points to cover. Chris will help to hone your story into concise statements and poignant thoughts. His style turns interviews into casual conversations so you can forget about the camera, relax and be yourself.

If you aren't sure what you want to say, we can help you discover and write your story in the time prior to the shoot. During the shoot, we'll guide you through the interview and help you express your story clearly.

We will film your interview at a place that is meaningful, comfortable, and convenient to you. We can also arrange for a private stage or photo studio.

Based on this information, we will provide you with a detailed written estimate and schedule for your project before moving forward. The length of film and all costs are estimated to the parameters of your story and include all of the necessary film production equipment and crew for the shoot.

Musical options are available for the soundtrack of your film. Incorporating archival photos or home movies are available options as well.

Once the film is edited, we present it to you for approval. One round of editorial revisions is included in the estimate. Additional revisions are charged hourly.

Your final film will be preserved as an archival quality digital high resolution (1920x1080 HD) file. It is delivered to you on an external hard drive formatted for either PC or MAC users.  We also give you files that you can share and play on any of your devices (phone, tablet, TV, etc.) or post online to share socially.  DVD's are available upon request, but do not offer the versatility and lifespan of archival digital files.

We can also create a private web link where we post your film for online viewing by simply sending the link to family and friends. Many people enjoy debuting their films at parties and family celebrations. We look forward to your premiere!
